One Day Tech Class July 11th at Westwood Baptist Church

PACARC will be sponsoring a One-Day Technician Class at the Westwood Baptist Church on Bassett Road, July 11th 2009 from 8am until 4pm and then a VE session immediately afterwards. All material required to pass the Technician Class Amateur Radio license will be covered in the class. We strongly suggest that students pre-study the material before coming as it assures an easier assimilation of the lessons covered. Visit our "Licensing" Tab on the left to get the material and links to practice tests. Those interested should email the club at pacarc@gmail.com

EmComm / Red Cross NET

The EmComm / Red Cross East Texas Net exists to establish a connection between counties in East Texas and to create communication opportunities for use during times of disaster.

The directed net is open to all Ham Operators. All calls are made to the Net Control station. During the Net, and at the direction of the net control operator, Hams may seek help with relevant Ham radio problems, share an experience or make announcements. All Hams are invited to check in.

The Net is held on the second Saturday of each month at 3.835 MHz.
