PACARC Hams Participate
in the Neches River Wilderness Canoe Race
For the eighth consecutive year, amateur radio
operators from the Palestine Anderson County Amateur Radio Club (PACARC)
provided emergency communications along a 22 mile stretch of
the scenic upper Neches River during the Neches River Wilderness Canoe
Race sponsored by the East Texas River Runners. Pictures

| PACARC Members will be starting a CW class
that will begin July 7th at the Clubhouse at 7pm. For pre-practice on

| ARRL Field Day is now in the history books.
PACARC members had a great time and are starting to plan for next year.

| Members of PACARC participated in the 2008
K0S Strange Antenna Challenge over Memorial Day weekend. This years
strange antenna was the Tank in front of the Texas National Guard Armory
a Dodge Caravan was used as the counterpoise. Stations were worked as
far as Rochester, Mn on 75, 40, 20 and 10. Some pictures are Here.
